We’re sitting on about seven or eight we like so far. We spent a month in Nashville writing and recording - as well as writing at home constantly. That’s what we’ve been spending most of our time doing. TT: The EP "Amateurs" was released almost a year ago. Don’t even think about anything like that.” That was a mindset I wanted to stick to because I didn’t want it to be forced. Our producer would say, “I don’t to hear that you want a hit. When we recorded that EP ("Act Naturally"), our only objective was to record something that feels good with a lot of energy and a pop album. Even when we started seeing some success in the beginning with the song “Wild” we didn’t really expect anything out of it. We’ve all had a pretty practical approach to it. TT: How do you feel about the band’s success thus far? Once we knew we had something that felt special to us, we knew it was something we could work toward and hunker down and put money into recording and make the sacrifices to make this a legitimate thing. We all felt good about what we were doing in that moment and that’s something that just happens. I remember in that moment feeling that the chemistry was there. Right around 2011 when Nora played her first show with us, it was at a small bar in New Orleans. ![]()
